Terms of use

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Morning Coffee Games ("we", "us") is a daily puzzle game site at morningcoffee.games, run from San Francisco, California.

These terms are the agreement between us. By using the site, playing the puzzles, creating an account, or buying anything, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

See our privacy policy for details on how we handle your data.

Your account

If you make an account, it is yours alone: keep your sign-in method to yourself, and treat anything done from your account as done by you.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Anyone can play the daily puzzles without one.

Playing fairly

The puzzles are meant to be solved by a person having a nice time. Please do not:

  • Use a solver, script, or bot to post a time or an answer
  • Scrape, bulk download, or automate requests against the site beyond ordinary play
  • Interfere with the site or try to reach parts of it that are not yours, including other people's accounts and game state

We may remove results, reset progress, or close an account when this happens. Leaderboards and group standings are for fun, and we reserve the right to correct them.

What you write here

A few things you write are visible to other people: your username and the names of groups you create.

Keep it civil. Please do not write anything that:

  • Impersonates someone else, us included
  • Harasses, threatens, or demeans another person or group
  • Is illegal, or infringes someone else's rights

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to show it on the site where it belongs, such as your username on a leaderboard. We may rename or remove anything that breaks these rules.

Memberships and billing

Every game has a new puzzle every day, free, and it will stay that way. An account is free too, and opens the last week of puzzles. A paid membership unlocks the whole archive, all-time stats, and early access to new games and features.

  • A monthly membership is $3 per month. It renews automatically each month until you cancel
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details
  • You can cancel at any time from the support us page. If canceled, your membership keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops renewing
  • If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to your renewal

You can also buy us a coffee with a one-off $3 donation instead of subscribing, with or without an account. This does not renew and it doesn't give you a subscription.

We may also grant a membership to an account without a subscription, at our discretion.

If we ever close the site for good, we will cancel every membership in Stripe, so nobody is charged for a site that is no longer running.

Refunds

You can cancel whenever you like. If you cancel, you keep access for the rest of the month you paid for. We do not usually refund part of a month.

That said, this is a small site run by one person. If you were charged by mistake, or something went wrong, get in touch and we will sort it out.

Deleting your account

You can stop using the site at any time and delete your account from your settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Deleting your account ends your membership immediately, including any part of the month you have already paid for.

If we close your account while a membership is running, we will refund the unused part of it, unless it was closed for cheating or abuse.

See privacy for exact details on what we delete.

What belongs to us

The puzzles, the artwork, the writing, and the name are ours. Play the games, share your results, screenshot them, tell your friends. Just don't republish the puzzles or use the name and logo for something of your own. If you want to use some of our stuff but aren't sure if you can, ask us: we can probably come to an agreement.

No guarantees

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that it will never lose data, or that every puzzle is flawless. Sometimes our code has bugs, sometimes our server may go down, and sometimes a generator produces a bad puzzle.

We will fix what we can. To the extent the law allows, we make no guarantees beyond that.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for anything to do with the site is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be signed away.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts in San Francisco, California.
